What We Believe
"Love one another as I have loved you"

We believe that the quotes that follow came from the lips of Jesus Christ. They can be very simply stated, yet they are infinitely profound in their eternal implications:

"Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself."

"Love one another as I have loved you."

And, as another wise teacher once said, "Everything else is merely commentary."

As a member of the United Church of Christ, we affirm the United Church Statement of Faith, and uphold the ancient ecumenical creeds of the Universal Church: the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed. We worship, and baptize, believers in the name of the Holy Trinity: God in three persons, commonly (but not exclusively) referred to as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. With our roots in the Protestant Reformation, and especially the Congregational tradition, we hold that each individual believer is finally responsible for their relationship with God, and is free to shape that relationship as their conscience dictates. Our members come from many different Christian traditions, and have found their spiritual home in our congregation.
